4.0 out of 5 stars TFT display, poor sound but good!, September 17, 2012
This review is from: Coby TFTV3925 39-Inch 1080p 60Hz LCD HDTV (Black) (Electronics)
This screen display isn't going to win any awards, but at this price is worth it!! The sound sucks but if you have your own sound system then it won't matter. Its a tft display so don't expect a high gloss display. It also has a poor viewing angle but head on it looks wonderful. Dark blacks rich color when viewed head on. It's once again TFT so it has a limited viewing angle but when hooked up to a computer via hdmi it makes a wonderful 1080 display. Text is clearly defined being tft (the perk).

So to recap. Bad sound, limited viewing angle. Good colors and blacks, nice design, large screen, great as a computer monitor with solid text reproduction. For the sub 300 price its hard to beat!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great TV for the price, November 16, 2012

This review is from: Coby TFTV3925 39-Inch 1080p 60Hz LCD HDTV (Black) (Electronics)
I jumped on this deal when I saw it. The same TV was marked down to the original price here on a different site. Setting up the TV was easy, the menu is easy to work with. My only hang up with this is it takes some time to power on and power off. When I started using the TV I would end up hitting the power button a few times because I didn't think it took the first time. Then I'd watch it respond and wonder if it was coming on or off. Turning it off is a bit quicker with a popup that tells you it's shutting down. (thanks) I switched over to a universal remote and it seems to work better at turning it on. I know the universal remote is better at sending signals to devices.

Over all I think it's a great TV. I wouldn't mind having another one in a different room.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good TV, but obviously not the best, November 20, 2012

This review is from: Coby TFTV3925 39-Inch 1080p 60Hz LCD HDTV (Black) (Electronics)
Bought this TV on sale, and it was worth the money. It's a budget display so don't expect anything amazing. It'll take a bit of tuning to calibrate the colors to your liking. The sound is absolutely horrible, so I suggest getting a sound system if you don't have one already. Sadly, this TV doesn't have RCA Audio Out, but it does have digital coaxial S/PDIF output.

Overall, if you're on a budget, you can't really go wrong with this TV. Just make sure it has all the ports you need and such before you buy it.
